Emblem
[edit]This image was deleted from the page on 29 Jul 2013:
As the writing on the patch shows, this was the emblem for the 31st Reconnaissance Squadron, Very Long Range (Photographic) (with a second "reconnaissance" thrown in for good measure). Even this use was unauthorized. The 31st replaced the 9th Reconnaissance Squadron on Okinawa in 1947 and apparently continued to use the 9th's approved emblem on its B-29s for a while instead of its own approved emblem. Either way, it's a different unit.--Lineagegeek (talk) 22:16, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
